Full Time Security Officer - Manufacturing
Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
Rural Retreat, Va
As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

The Job You Will Perform:
- Makes ready, assists operator and assistant operator in maintaining corrugated manufacturing press machine in which you are assigned. (rotary die cutters, flexo folder gluers, labeler and folder gluer machinery)
- Observes and monitors machine operations to aid in detecting malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
- Feeding, catching and stacking corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations.
- Assisting machine crew in order setups including setting heads, mounting of print plates and dies, maintaining safety, quality and required housekeeping standards.
- Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader which may include parts and hand assembly.

The Skills You Will Bring:
1. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade School and/or advanced degree preferred.
2. Two years or more experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. (corrugated manufacturing is a plus).
3. Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
5. Basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications, division and use of a tape measure.
6. Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
7. Ability to learn and understand machine line up.
8. Ability to understand/learn all operations of corrugated manufacturing.
9. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
10. Ability to understand/learn and accurately utilize KIWI for setup, run instructions and production times.
11. Must be dependable and reliable
12. Ability to work in an environment that is often hot in the summer and cool in the winter.

Job Overview
The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products in a way that will attract the attention of consumers at our customer retail locations. This position services and maintains multiple bulk accounts by merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines. Ability to follow plan sets, planograms and communicate to store management and cross-functional personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fills, merchandises and rotates products on display and the shelf according to procedures and special programs
- Physically moves the product from the backroom and places it on display
- Creates and distributes point of sale materials on display and shelve where permitted. Rotates product. Fills and merchandises Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; checks vendor to ensure proper operation
- Organizes and maintains back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged and out of date product to the branch
- Fosters business relationship with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities discussions
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Must have effective communication skills which include listening, speaking, and writing
- Prior customer service experience preferred in a retail setting
- Merchandisers must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively to satisfy the needs of a variety of customers with different demands and expectations
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively)
- Able to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision
- Critical thinking skills
- Company provided cell phone
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid instate driver’s license
- Excellent driving history
- Proof of insurance policy to verify current coverage of liability and property damage at no less than 50,000 per person/100,000 accident insurance per occurrence/50,000 property damage and 500 or less deductible effective from first day of employment

The work environment will vary, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled

and Quality.
REPORTS TO:Principal, Assistant Principals, Directors
JOB GOAL:To create a class environment favorable to learning and
personal growth; to establish effective rapport with
pupils; to lead students toward fulfillment of their
potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological
growth and maturation; to establish good relationships
with parents and other staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and terms of employment according to approved
salary schedules.
EVALUATIONS: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the district evaluation plan.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaches assigned classes utilizing state and local programs of study adopted by the Floyd County Board of Education and provides other appropriate learning activities.- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Translates lessons plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and good citizenship needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
- Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil’s progress and interpret the school program.
- Creates an effective and safe environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and learning centers.
- Identifies pupil’s needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems, including but not limited to development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Gifted Student Service Plans (GSSP).
- Maintains competence through professional growth activities as identified by individual or school needs.
- Administers assessments in accordance with district and state guidelines.Participates in faculty committees and the supervision of pupil activities.
- Reports to their respective classroom at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the opening of school and remains at least fifteen (15) minutes after official closing time.
- Maintains reports and records required by regulations of the Floyd County Board of Education and Kentucky Revised Statutes.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Translates lessons plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Monitors and addresses, if appropriate, student’s physical, emotional, and intellectual needs on an on going informal basis.
- Communicates challenging scholastic expectations in a clear, positive, continuous manner.
- Establishes and maintains standards of mutually respectful behavior.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with students, educational staff, and parents.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: Provides instruction support individually and/or in small
groups to assigned students.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 6.25 hours per day for 181 days. Salary determined by
