This position is primarily a full-time night shift position. Chosen candidate may fill in on other shifts as directed by supervisor. Candidate will supervise residents of the Intermediate Care Facility in all aspects of daily living. SUMMARY

The Field Technician, Jr. is responsible for collecting samples, observation, and/or inspection of products or raw materials for laboratory analysis by performing the following duties.

  • Collects samples as product and or raw materials that are being transferred to containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and/or rail.
  • Ensures sample containers and all related paperwork are labeled with identifying data, location of sample, date, and time of collection.
  • Delivers sample to laboratory for analysis.
  • Performs preparation of samples, reduction and division of appropriate sizes.
  • Gathers samples at specified locations, states of processing and time interval.
  • Performs sample screening and/or other related physical tests.
  • Ensures all equipment and containers are organized and cleaned before and after use.
  • Ensures all personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant for tasks is worn at all times.

Shift(s) Available: Day Shift

Principal Accountabilities:
Performing facility operations such as receiving and shipping products, which may include fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and grain
Basic maintenance and operator care of equipment to ensure ongoing facility operations
Providing excellent customer service and engaging with team members
Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, may be required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Must be able to work in various weather, industrial and agricultural settings
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
May require a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during your employment
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Basic mechanical aptitude

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Join the NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move contruction forward.

The Warehouse Assistant, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, will be well organized, detail oriented and able to work quickly to meet shipping schedule deadlines.

$500 Signing Bonus available to new hires after 3 months of employment!

Your work will include:

  • Packing materials to complete shipping kits required to for outgoing projects
  • Assisting in receiving and offloading incoming materials to the warehouse
  • Assisting in the assembly and organization of block orders
  • Assembly and management of stock on the following; porches, coat racks, downspouts, and plywood skirting kits
  • Building crates for material shipments when required
  • Communication with Project Managers and Supervisors on specifications related to Prepare to Ship kits for outgoing projects
  • Updating our computer tracking system to produce status reports on current and upcoming shipments.

Qualifications


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • An educational background with a minimum high school graduation diploma
  • 1-2 years experience in a warehousing and/or the construction environment
  • Basic knowledge of construcion tools and equipment is required
  • Current forklift license is an asset
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to lift 50 lbs comfortably
