What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a team that goes above and beyond for their clients. As a Client Associate, you’ll work closely with Investment Advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage their portfolios and develop new business. You’ll directly engage with high net worth clients to offer support, uncover business opportunities and proactively improve the client experience.

Summary:

The Environmental Services Aide contributes to providing a safe and clean environment for Grand River Hospital’s patients, staff, and visitors. Shift Schedule

Graveyard: Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. We offer a $2.50/hour shift premium on top of your base pay.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A Casual Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Environmental Services department. The start date of this position is to be determined.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capable of meeting the physical and mental requirements of the position
  • Knowledge and experience in housekeeping operations and equipment used in cleaning and laundry process

Duties and Responsibilities

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • Receives assignment, assembles required materials and supplies, loads service cart and transports to work areas
  • Performs housekeeping duties, cleaning tasks and assigned custodial duties ensuring the home environment meets physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the resident
  • Adheres to daily, weekly and monthly cleaning check off lists, workplace policies, audit sheets and routines
    Performs duties including, but not limited to: floor maintenance programs, deep cleaning programs, waste management and transportation of clean and soiled linens
  • Ensures daily, the neatness and cleanliness of resident’s rooms, common areas including but not limited to rooms and equipment including: furniture, clothes closets, mobility devices, tub/bathrooms, utility rooms and dining room
  • Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties
  • Carbolizes room for new occupant following prescribed procedures
  • Returns unused supplies, cleans and stores equipment
  • Adheres to established department policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, safety, environment and infection control
  • Transports soiled linen/laundry from various areas to the laundry room
  • Washes, dries, folds and transports linen/clothing according to procedures
  • Follows specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens
  • Labels linen/clothing as required
  • Cleans and maintains laundry area and laundry equipment
  • Communicates equipment and supply needs and reports safety hazards
  • Ability to use and maintain Laundry equipment, ensuring safe practice
  • Effectively communicates with residents, staff and families

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Registration, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the PATIENT REGISTRATION CLERK is responsible for: performing clerical duties to include obtaining necessary patient demographic information and registering patients on computer system; performing all receptionist's functions including directing and controlling patient movement in the department; maintaining accurate death records; making telephone calls as requested; requesting charts from Health Records; assisting with orientation of new staff; providing direction and feedback to students during student practicums; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a recognized medical office secretarial program or the first year of a recognized diploma/degree in a health related field.

  • Successful completion of a recognized medical terminology course.
  • or –
  • One (1) year related experience in an office, clinical environment or in a patient registration department (e.g. secretary, receptionist, communications clerk, etc.).

  • Fluently bilingual in both English and French.
  • Keyboarding Speed: 35 w.p.m.
  • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

How You’ll Perform the Role

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately and maintaining accurate work order files and formulas.
  • Pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications
  • Stocking shelves and setting up displays, cleaning store equipment, and loading and unloading trucks
  • Assisting in making deliveries if necessary.

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
